Paradoxical Mittens

I'm still very fascinated by this pattern and all the possibilities in the variety of colours.
Dette mønsteret går jeg visst aldri lei. No skal fargene passe til den grønne allværsjakka mi. Innimellom strikkes det kjøkkenkluter, "kopptue" i alle tilgjengelige farger fra lageret mitt. To eks blei gitt bort i dag til eldste sønn, 28 år i dag. Samboeren var faktisk mest interessert, - hun skal få flere :)

Something old, - for the lovers of Lopi yarn

In my cupboard this wonderful item has been resting for some years. It has had its renaissance the last couple of winters. I made it in 1974 when I was a student. We ordered yarn directly from Iceland and I made several nice things. I haven't kept them all, but this poncho and a blanket is still in use.

Mission completed!

The Moebius cowl is finished and it turned out very nicely. Unfortunately I haven't got any longer needles so I can't make the shawl I wanted in thin cashmere.

My Moebius Attempt by Cat Bordhi

This is a mystery to me, how will it turn out? The needle/cable is far too short, but I improved the technique by adding a "helping" needle. I'll continue posting to show you the progress.

My daughter's finished project

She is very busy, having a lot of projects going simultaneously. This is what she she finished while visiting her parents home from Tuesday. She has made this for a friend in Stavanger and left it for me to post. She used a Norwegian yarn from Rauma, called "vamsegarn". The neck is separated from the rest. My daughter corrected me, she didn't use Rauma, but Dale fritidsgarn!!

"Kopptua" or dishclothes

I'm trying to reduce my stash. I knew I had a lot of cotton yarn stowed away and now I'm about to commit number three of these very simple but nice dish clothes, or rather "kopptua" in my dialect. We'll see how far I get before I'm bored. Pics are here now. I'll use every colour I possess, even if it is from my daughter's pinkest period. That is very old stash!!!

Hobbyforums bloggere

17 years and still going strong

I knitted two sweaters like this in 1991, one for my husband and one for me. They were used a lot the first years, but have rested for some time in the closet now. I liked the colours and the pattern a lot at that time and I still think it's nice. I used Rauma finnull and Pt2. I used mine when we had the outdoor activity, sleeping in tents and so on last week.

My Selbu gloves in slow progress

I seem to have a problem with my computer or loading pics to my blog :(
Here is the first glove. I've nearly finished the third finger.

My own Aibhlinn by Mary Burr

This was not easy, a mirror and a camera, the object and the photographer being the same, anyway the result will do! I'm so thrilled about finding my Aibhlinn at the hospital the other day, after having lost it one year ago.
Originally you were supposed to knit in cotton, but I used Rauma finull yarn. Mine is too large.

Winter and snow, sleeping outdoor

A beautiful night, cold and crisp, but we managed through the night. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.

Quiz

This was the comment I got: You Scored an A
You got 10/10 questions correct. It's pretty obvious that you don't make basic grammatical errors. If anything, you're annoyed when people make simple mistakes on their blogs. As far as people with bad grammar go, you know they're only human. And it's humanity and its current condition that truly disturb you sometimes.

Very easy quiz to check out the spelling of words easily mistaken in English. Try it out!

My Selbu Gloves and a very special incident!

Something very special happened to me today; I was at my annual control at the hospital and when I was about to pay after the consultation, I saw something which I lost one year ago, my Aibilin (something similar)

This is how far I've got. I know, it's a really slow progress! And again, the photo was taken with my mobile, hence the bad quality.

Development?

Look at this, not exactly the story about the flowers and the bee. Unfortunately only for my Scandinavian readers as it is in Danish....
