Tada (as my daughter would have said)

Nice, I'm happy about this one, - and about myself having completed a project this fast.

The knitting details are to be found in the last entry.

Much knitting, less blogging

Nearly finished a summer jacket knit in cotton, the pattern is available for free from Drops. Unfortunately the finished jacket seems to be too small, once again. The yarn is from an old sweater, made for my former husband. It has been in my stash for more than 20 years. I'm very happy about the buttons :o)

Yarn: Mandarin "Soft"
Size: M
Gauge: 13 stiches pr cm
Needles: 6 mm

Easter memories

A late walk to enjoy the view. Folkestad once again, - late in the evening, reaaly too scarcely lit, but anyway, I think you can can get an impression.

Finished projects

Here are my latest projects, the “Miyake” and the “Calorimetry”. I’ve already used the vest several times, but I refuse to start using ear warmers at this time of year, although we’ve had a blizzard this weekend.

Experimenting

The family cabin

We stayed one night by a small lake, in a cabin owned by the family, lovely. You can also get a glimpse of the Miyake and the Clapotis.

Today's activity

Hiking, building a bridge for the ATV, watching frogs in a pond; mating!
(Edited 14.04; perhaps they're actually toads?)

Impressed by the view?

This is the view from the living room at my in-laws. Beautiful flowers given to my father -in-law when he was 90 in January are seen in the front.

What a difference!

This is spring, while we back at home, in Tromsø, have winter and more than one metre with snow.

We are heading south west for the Easter Holiday. Picture taken from the farm, but you can't get the feeling of the steepness.

Miyake, - half way through?

One skein used and I'm half way already, if stretched ;). I bought three skeins (300g), recommended 250g.

Surprise in the post

Yesterday there was a parcel in my mail box, - oh joy and happiness. And what a gift! My daughter had knitted Russian socks in my favourite colours and had even added the pattern of the Norwegian "Fana-kofta". I'm planning to knit one in untraditional colours. I've made two earlier, actually more than 30 years ago. One for me and one for my boyfriend.
Heldige mæ, sjekk disse nydelige russesokkan. Tenk at æ fikk dem hos lillesnuppa, ho e no flink!

Clapotis, - finished :)

I didn't give up (or in), but continued with a major error. I didn't realise though until I had binded off. It seems I have started the decrease too early. The measures were supposed to be 21 inch x 55 inch, mine is much wider and shorter. But I like it.
Yarn: Noro, Silk Garden sock, colour 84
Skeins: 1,5
Needles: Sircular 4.5 mm

Joy, disappointment and frustration

The lovely Noro yarn I have been waiting for the last month, arrived while I was in Stavanger. Yesterday I was tempted to start with it again, taking a break from my Myiake, and you know what? I couldnt't figure out where in the pattern I was. I'm so disappointed. Why couldn't I just mark the place.
