Panic!

I haven't had access to my blog, other than reading it, lately. I could NOT blog! Actually several days passed without me noticing, mostly because we stayed out all day, just labouring on in the garden and basement. The weather has been very good. BUT, yesterday I was planning a blog entry, wanting to show you my new project; another pattern from Drops . Anyway, the blog seems ok now :o)

First I studied these, here are several want-to-do items. But I ended up with the tunic in the picture.

My children

Born in 80, 83 and 85. Aren't they cute?

May 17th 2009

No comments, the weather was incredible, the leaves had turned green, - nearly, the cake was a success, what else to ask for on our National Day?

Hibernating?

What has happened to my knitting? I don't know, but I find it hard to complete this last project; the yarn was not fit for this type of knitting, it looks bulky and "clumsy". So what to do next, frog or continue? I have so much yarn left.....

Springtime

Some evidence. Yesterday I had my first meal with wine outside. I even "caught" some flowers in blooming. The flowerbeds have just got rid of the last snow so they need tidying up, but I wanted to show you allthough it's a mess. Once again I have to admit that the pictures have lousy quality, but I had to use my cell phone.

Tada (as my daughter would have said)

Nice, I'm happy about this one, - and about myself having completed a project this fast.

The knitting details are to be found in the last entry.

Much knitting, less blogging

Nearly finished a summer jacket knit in cotton, the pattern is available for free from Drops. Unfortunately the finished jacket seems to be too small, once again. The yarn is from an old sweater, made for my former husband. It has been in my stash for more than 20 years. I'm very happy about the buttons :o)

Yarn: Mandarin "Soft"
Size: M
Gauge: 13 stiches pr cm
Needles: 6 mm

Easter memories

A late walk to enjoy the view. Folkestad once again, - late in the evening, reaaly too scarcely lit, but anyway, I think you can can get an impression.

Here are my latest projects, the “Miyake” and the “Calorimetry”. I’ve already used the vest several times, but I refuse to start using ear warmers at this time of year, although we’ve had a blizzard this weekend.

Experimenting

The family cabin

We stayed one night by a small lake, in a cabin owned by the family, lovely. You can also get a glimpse of the Miyake and the Clapotis.

Today's activity

Hiking, building a bridge for the ATV, watching frogs in a pond; mating!

(Edited 14.04; perhaps they're actually toads?)

Impressed by the view?

This is the view from the living room at my in-laws. Beautiful flowers given to my father -in-law when he was 90 in January are seen in the front.

What a difference!

This is spring, while we back at home, in Tromsø, have winter and more than one metre with snow.

We are heading south west for the Easter Holiday. Picture taken from the farm, but you can't get the feeling of the steepness.
