Clapotis Progress

I'm running out of yarn, - and you know what, you can't buy this yarn in Norway! With the help of Ravelry I found this place, and I oredered their only skein in the correct colour. Actually you can buy Noro in Norway, through Pinnsvin design, but they didn't have Silk Garden Sock Yarn.

The pics are with and without a flash to get the right colours.

Se, no tar sjalet form, den rektangulære formen e synlig, kanskje det kalles parallellogram?

My Buttony Sweater has a new life

..... and a new owner, and I'm in possesion of a bottle of wine, mmmm. I'm looking forward to enjoying it tomorrow night.

"Clapotis"; the name of a shawl

It's getting more easy to grasp the outcome of this. Look at the colours. Noro, Silk Garden Sock Yarn, I like the way the colours "grow" into my project. Now I hope I have enough, I just bought one skein in Seattle last summer.
I've tried with and without a flash hoping to get the correct colours, not easy...
Now is bedtime, my body is torn and twisted after the work out this evening.

WIP problems....

I can't figure out this pattern, Clapotis is causing me a lot of trouble. Now I've turned to Ravelry for some help.
Edited at five o'clock; all my problems are gone thanks to this lady on Ravelry. I've frogged it all and started all over again.

Finished, but....

....not for me, as predicted!

The everlasting story

I've made an effort, trying to finish off this Buttony sweater. I lost the courage when I realised that the size would never fit me. Anyway, I've decided to complete it, take it to work and let whoever fits it have it, just like the Cinderella fairy tale.

To make it more colourful I've planned to add buttons in 12 different and bright colours. The yarn is a mixture of linen and cotton and it's from a sweater I've frogged.

Another knitting bag

I made this yesterday from some old curtains. It's getting easier and faster every time I sew. Soon I'm a "proffesional" ;). I've put some Noro yarn in it, it's a teaser, my favourite colour sheme. Perhaps I'll knit a Clapotis, design by Kate Gilbert. You'll find it on Ravelry or in Knitty. You can even look up her blog Neddles on Fire where you'll find the pattern.

One of my colleagues has taken this beatiful picture over Tromsø city. It's very cold for the time being and the moon is bright and clear.

Finally the pics have arrived

These are pictures from the day I made a cake, - a very rare occasion. You van find the recipe in Norwegian here. In the first picture it looks like something having crashed, that's after it went to the stove the second time.

The next gift, finished :0)

This is easy and cosy knitting. The yarn is Kitten mohair and it's soft, warm and light.

Received

The mittens together with some other gifts. The receiver was very happy about them, and the other guests were impressed. Not that many knitters among them though; they were easy to impress..
